The Tallinn TV Tower is a building constructed for broadcasting purposes and owned and operated by telecom service provider AS Levira (www.levira.ee). In September 2009, AS Levira founded the Tallinn TV Tower Foundation, which was given the right of superficies. The aim of the TV Tower Foundation is the development, management and sustainable management of the TV Tower as a historical, architectural and tourist site. The primary goal of the foundation is to renovate the Tallinn TV Tower and reopen the observation platform for visitors as well as to raise the necessary funds to carry out these objectives. The continuing goals of the foundation are to provide quality tourist, cultural and recreational services in the Tallinn TV Tower and to market the Tower as an international destination and experience tourist site. The renovation of the TV Tower is supported by the European Regional Development Fund’s programme for development of cultural and tourism objects of national importance, which is being implemented by the Ministry of the Interior and Enterprise Estonia.
